There is nothing like Australia. It was great pleasure and privilege to speak in Medical Tourism Australia Summit. Excellent networking with exceptional industry experts. Australia offers unmatched tourism services, and medical tourism is a great addition.
About the conference.
My topic was on Medical Tourism Australia – Opportunities and Challenges. What I realise that Australia has got everything to capture a big size medical tourism market share. However, there is clear lake of interest from Australian government and private healthcare players. During the conference I learned that one private healthcare group of Victoria state is putting up some strategy to develop more sustainable medical tourism, their target market seems to be China as they have existing relationship with the country. I also met with some friends from Gold Coast and Sydney who were their to promote in Medical Tourism. Except these many were their just to understand pros and cons of the industry. So Medical Tourism in Australia is still at infant stage and a lot needs to be done.

I managed to squeeze my schedule to meet my old friends in Canberra, from my time during I stayed in Muscat Oman. I met them after 13-14 years and it was pleasure meeting. I learned that canberra has won many awards as a city to live in. I found it very calm, quite, clean, resourceful and well organised. People of canberra were very courteous and relaxing, unlike people in Melbourne and Sydney where I see lots of hustle and bustle.
I need to make another trip to Australia soon to explore some more part, and will share more information with you soon.
