During the visitation rights of the dad, you keep yourself busy by redecorating their bedrooms and closet , feel selfish to pursue your own interests!!! Just to prove that you are a Super Mom .<\/p>\n<p>But you don\u2019t realize that you have turned into a <b>Smother Mother.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Crippling the Kids\u2019 Development<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The kids need to understand about mastering their own things. But if you continue to pack their bags, children never learn the process about what they actually should carry with them. So once they set out of the sheild of Super mom they become a failure in schedules, relationships, and homework.<\/p>\n<p><b>Kids\u2019 get Trained to Take Things for Granted<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If as a Smother Mom you keep on doing things constantly like switching on and off the lights they consider it as your job. But if you do something occasionally for them, they consider it as a treat. Taking things granted will make them irritated when you fail to do them in the right time. Since a Smother Mother took care of their entire things, kids never appreciated in gratitude and never thought of returning it also. As a result they expect a \u201ccaretaker service\u201d and not a life partner.<\/p>\n<p>It is equally difficult for them to handle situations in the workplace. They find it difficult to meet the deadlines or be organized; they never realize that it\u2019s their fault. They put the entire blame on the employer for not giving that same level support that they have a habit of getting in return from a Smother Mom.<\/p>\n<p><b>Don\u2019t Be a Bore and Rob the Chance to be a Complete Person<\/b><\/p>\n<p>For one day the child will grow into adults and set out of home, let them have their own identity. Try to keep yourself engaged with some of your own interests, and hobbies. Be a good conversationalist talking on a variety of topics rather than your kids.
