Overrated purity is now blinding the average customers – who unknowingly concede to bottled water suppliers’ claims – to bow to some very impure motives. It’s always right by the tap since EPA ensures hygienic and safety standards. Moreover, it saves money and helps tackle the problem of ever-increasing plastic trash.

Bottled Water vs. Tap Water, NRDC’s opinion:
Before we go any further, take a look at the findings of the NRDC. These are enough to startle those who prefer sticking to the hoopla.

…about 22 percent of the brands we tested contained, in at least one sample, chemical contaminants at levels above strict state health limits.

<ins class="adsbygoogle"
     style="display:block; text-align:center;"
     data-ad-layout="in-article"
     data-ad-format="fluid"
     data-ad-client="ca-pub-9477973674766713"
     data-ad-slot="8885944693"></ins>

In emergency or disaster, the bottled water may be the most prudent choice, but to think it as elixir always or otherwise is nothing more than a misappropriated attachment to not-so-safe option. Though it’s never easy to redirect dedicated sticklers, what NRDC recommends may still urge them to do a double take:
1. The FDA should govern the bottled water manufacturers too.
2. Bottled water standards should meet the city tap water supplies standards.
3. Water bottlers should not be exempted from disclosing water source, treatments and other key information.
4. Federal Government should review the state bottled water programs.

Bottled Water is polluted and a pollutant as well:
Actually, in bottled water factories, water is heated after it’s stored in plastic bottles. Hence, there’s every chance of plastic chemicals leaching into the container’s contents. If the bottled water is stored in a hot environment, antimony like toxic chemicals may contaminate the contents. It’s always better to avoid these risks in using filtered tap water instead.

Not only it contains impurities sans any of Federal checks, the bottles keep on adding to landfills. Check out the video to notice how destructive it is for our natural resources:

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YohXg877KOc&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1]

So, be it Pepsi’s Aquafina or Coca Cola’s Dasani, it’s imprudent to think that brandishing does it any good.
