A small flat pry bar would be the best tool to execute this job. You can also use a hammer or a putty knife and remove the stop carefully without a scratch.<\/li>\n<li>Hold two opposite edges of the window and keep it aside. If you have a \u2018double hung window\u2019, you will find a cord attached with it. Such windows cannot be removed in a regular way. Take a big nail and run that into the trim gradually. Then, unfasten the cord from one side of the window and connect it to the nail. Do the same for another side of the window. Once you are done with these, take the window out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>While placing the window aside, make sure that the work surface is large and even enough. Put the thing down and eliminate the old polishing from it with the help of the putty knife. If you wish, you can also use a utility knife to get rid of glazing pieces from both the surfaces of the window. However, be conscious or else you will end up smashing or cracking the glass.<\/li>\n<li>Check if there is any loose and slack window point. Replacing these points with new ones can help you greatly. Just take a screwdriver and sink the spiky end of the new window point into the bottom wooden frame as deep as possible. Once you find that the element is firmly placed on the window glass surface, tap on the edge of the screwdriver with the hammer tenderly and complete the new window point installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>There might be bare wood by the side of the window glass. Paint it with a latex primer and leave it in the open air for drying.<\/li>\n<li>Take some fresh glazing compound and apply it on the edges with the help of a glazer\u2019s knife. Do not forget to seal it with sealer coat.
