Well, it is surely difficult to deal with human relationships, especially when it comes to people you don\u00e2\u0080\u0099t like much. One such relationship is that of your sister-in-law. She is your husband\u00e2\u0080\u0099s sister and you can\u00e2\u0080\u0099t avoid her by whatever means, rather find a solution.<\/p>\n

Why is that you get so stressed when it comes to her? Is she poking her nose in every small thing you do? Does she borrow your stuff and never return it back? Write down all small little things about her that annoy you and discuss with her in a polite manner. She is a woman too, she will understand if you communicate well. Keep your husband in the loop and let him know all the frustration you get from his sister. He is the brother; it is his responsibility as well to actively solve the issues between both the ladies. If you think it is best if he speaks to your sister-in-law, let him do the talking. However, make sure he understands your point of view properly before he opens his mouth. See to it that he takes your side, instead of backfiring on you after the conversation with her. Decide what\u00e2\u0080\u0099s better for yourself, you talking alone to her or you and your husband both communicating with her.<\/p>

Invite her for a nice brunch or dinner and politely communicate your thoughts. Let your husband be a part of this, so that he knows the exact situation between the both of you. Let him have a non biased solution for it. After all it\u00e2\u0080\u0099s a family issue! You can\u00e2\u0080\u0099t take your sister-in-law to court if she calls you 10 times a day. Make certain rules that are comfortable to both of you and be nice to each other. At least you can try!<\/p>\n

Let her speak out too<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do not attack her by puking all the points that you have listed one by one. Allow her to justify herself as well. You don\u00e2\u0080\u0099t want to be portrayed as the heartless female who is trying to defeat his blood sister. Remember, they both know each other since childhood. Hence, play smart. Be the nice one by not acting indecent or shouting out loud on your sister-in-law. Act civil and allow her to express her thoughts as well.<\/p>\n

Plan another such meeting after a few days<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, only if you are comfortable with the thought of having another such session with her, try out. Call her for dessert, may be this time and try to spend a good evening with her. Chat over a cup of coffee and let your husband know that you are trying to improve your relations with his sister.<\/p>\n
