It\u2019s easy to get stuck in a rut and, worse, to not even realize we\u2019re in a rut. Perhaps it\u2019s where you\u2019re at in your career. It could even be your <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-httpsdrpremcom-staging.kinsta.cloud\/healthyeating\">eating<\/a> or fitness habits. Maybe you\u2019ve begun to work too hard and you\u2019re not enjoying the things you used to do, like <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-httpsdrpremcom-staging.kinsta.cloud\/travel\/\">traveling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Too often we float through life on autopilot, literally and figuratively. You\u2019ve probably driven to work before and don\u2019t even remember the drive, right? Hey, it happens. Routines are good but it\u2019s also healthy to shake them up a bit. We\u2019re not telling you to jump feet first into becoming a <a href=\"https:\/\/photo.stg-httpsdrpremcom-staging.kinsta.cloud\/\">photographer<\/a> when you\u2019ve been trained as an accountant. But if you can think of implementing small changes that can get you over the hump, you\u2019ll be surprised at how little you go on autopilot and how much you\u2019re actually living in the moment. And when it comes to things like fitness routines, adding in some changes here and there is what keeps \u201cshocking\u201d our body into making the workout effective for us. If you go on the same run at the same pace every day, your body is eventually going to get used to it and get very little value out of it. See, change is good!<\/p>\n<p>Change can help you ease out of bad habits. As mentioned above, many of us start out the year strong when it comes to our New Year\u2019s resolutions to get fit and eat better but, come April, we\u2019ve already resorted back to our easy but ill-fitting (in more ways than one!) ways.<\/p><div class=\"b4555a4fde9e08ea35acb9df3ea13bc1\" data-index=\"2\" style=\"float: none; margin:10px 0 10px 0; text-align:center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/stg-httpsdrpremcom-staging.kinsta.cloud\/#businesses\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/stg-httpsdrpremcom-staging.kinsta.cloud\/wellness\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2021\/12\/Wellness-Post-Ad-2.jpg\"><\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n<p>The thing about change that scares some people is that they assume it has to be gigantic life changes. That\u2019s not necessarily the case. It can be something as simple as getting up earlier in the morning. Research has shown that people who do this are often happier and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/peter-economy\/11-scientifically-proven-reasons-why-early-birds-are-exceptionally-successful.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more productive<\/a>. When it comes to exercise, it\u2019s almost always best to get it out of the way first thing. There might come a time when you really do need to attempt <em>that big change<\/em>. A change in relationship. A change in careers. A change in your children\u2019s schools. If something isn\u2019t serving you and you have the means to change it, why won\u2019t you do it? Of course, you won\u2019t burn bridges at your current job until you\u2019ve got something else lined up but let\u2019s say a promotion is waiting for you in another city. The city you live in is all you\u2019ve known and you\u2019re nervous. Nerves are good but staying simply because of them is not. There comes a time when a big change might be necessary to grow. Don\u2019t let it overwhelm you. If you can, take it slow and break the process into pieces.
