\u201cWho stole the money from my wallet?\u201d the father asked, as he was ready to go to his office that day.<\/p>\n

Both Brothers Harry and Jacob kept standing quietly. Their father was a strict man who could go to any extreme to teach them a lesson.<\/p>

\u201cI said who stole the money from my wallet?\u201d he asked again.<\/p>\n

\"<\/a>Harry moved forward and said, \u201cI am extremely sorry dad but I needed the money to go on a picnic with school friends. I thought you would never give me the money so I stole a small amount. Their father was happy since he had utmost respect for people who confess their crimes. He took a step forward and said, \u201cWhat or who gave you the idea that I would not let you go on a picnic. It was a small amount but that does not change anything, does that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am sorry dad,\u201d Harry said in a mild tone.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll right, both of you can leave now. Harry make sure you don\u2019t make it a habit to steal,\u201d the father said as he left for his office.<\/p>\n

Jacob was surprised as he was the one who had stolen the money. He wanted to ask Harry but he thought it was useless. Being an elder brother Harry was very protective for his baby brother. He knew Jacob was the real culprit as there was no one else in the house except four members of the family.<\/p>\n

A few days later, someone again stole some money. Harry and Jacob were getting ready to go to their school. All of a sudden, their father barged into the room and said, \u201cBoys we need to talk. Someone has stolen a big amount of money from my wallet. I wish to know who did that. \u201c<\/p>

The father had hardly finished his words when Harry got up from his chair and said, \u201cDad, I was just about to tell you that I have taken some money to deposit my school fee.\u201d<\/p>\n

Father got angry and said, \u201cMake sure it does not happen again or keep yourself ready for a serious punishment. The moment their father left Jacob asked his brother, \u201cWhy did you lie Harry?\u00a0 It was me who stole the money.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry took a deep breath and said, \u201cI know that Jacob.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then why did you take the blame on you,\u201d Jacob asked.<\/p>\n

Harry looked at him and said, \u201cYou are my baby brother Jacob. What I did was my responsibility.<\/p>\n

Jacob felt bad for his brother but he didn\u2019t have the nerve to go and tell everyone about it.<\/p>\n

Time went by. Ones again someone took $200. Father asked both the boys to come downstairs. He gave a tight slap to harry the moment he got into his room and asked, \u201cYou had promised you would not steal again and now you have taken $200. Where is the money?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have the money dad, not even single penny,\u201d Harry said. He had tears in his eyes when he said that.<\/p>\n

Father wanted to teach him a lesson. He pulled himself together and said, \u201cGo and get a job. Do the dishes, shine shoes or mop in hotels, I need my $300 at any cost. From now onwards you will pay your college fee yourself and would not get a single penny for your pocket money. \u201c<\/p>\n

\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Jacob was surprised that Harry did not utter up a single word about him. He moved towards his elder brother and said, \u201cI am sorry. It will never happen again. I can\u2019t tolerate you getting humiliated because of me. I love you Harry.\u201d He started crying.<\/p>\n

After this incidence the father never got a chance to complain. The two brothers set an example for others. Value your relationships as meaningful relationships take you a long way in life.<\/p>\n
