You might have seen several spam messages on your Gmail account. On Google+, every person can crowd on your account whether they are in your contacts or not. Another important feature is that they cannot send you more than one message. To separate incoming mail, Gmail places emails from unknown sources in then\u201cSocial\u201d tab in email. Mails from G+ users in your circles are routed to the \u201cPrimary\u201d email tab. Unfortunately, the feature has been rolled across the service, and you would need to opt-out if you intend to avoid emails from unknown people, or if you like to keep a tight leash around your privacy settings.<\/p>\n

You can prevent unknown people from mailing you through Google+. You need to follow the following steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Click on the settings on the upper right hand corner of your Gmail account and click settings from the top down menu.<\/li>\n
  2. Setting panel will opens, scroll down the \u201cGeneral\u201d tab. It will open the \u201cEmail via Google\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. From the drop down menu of the \u201cEmail via Google,\u201d you can choose the settings that you want.<\/li>\n
  4. You can also choose the option \u201cno one\u201d from this new feature of Google+ if you do not want to receive mails of any one.<\/li>\n
  5. Now scroll down the settings and click on \u201csave changes\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Certain more things are there which one should keep n mind to prevent the account from unauthorized access on the Google plus. You do not need to reply to the unnecessary email come in your inbox. If anyone is following you on your Google+ account, it is not necessary that you follow them back.<\/p>\n

    Unless you reply such emails and links, they will not be able to get the original email address of your account.<\/p>\n
