Travel is the one thing that could be the future in terms of business and could be the most attractive business to be a part of within the next decade, there are a series of futuristic technologies that have promised to change the way we travel and give us a different experience altogether. It\u2019s one of the most important things placed in our lives and travel would be the telling factor about most business that are being driven. Here is a list of future travel technologies and how it would change the way we travel today.<\/p>\n

Flying cars<\/strong><\/p>\n

Take our word for it, this is likely to happen sooner than you think. Technology is in place to make it happen and engineers have been developing lightweight sport aircrafts for a while now. The cost of such an aircraft would be close to $275,000 \u2013 which does make it a tad bit expensive, but keeping in mind the advantages and ease that comes with a vehicle like this, it just might be worth it.<\/p>\n

The advantage is quite simple and obvious. Shorten the gap that in travel between 100 and 500 miles. It is not simply about moving short distances, having quick connecting flights between two airports or even larger distances would make economic sense.<\/p>\n

Speech-to-speech translation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Being able to understand different accents or even languages when you are travelling could be a challenge. So picture this, rather hear this \u2013 when any one would speak to you in a different language or something you do not follow, you can hear it in your preferred language using an audio receiver. This would be almost instantly allowing you to respond quickly enough. Universal translators could change not just travel, but the world.<\/p>\n

Reach quicker in a train<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes, we always believed that planes are the quickest way to travel. Until there is a huge efficiency rise in the way trains function. When you compare the waiting time, check-in time, and time taken to drive to a distant airport \u2013 high speed trains can be a lot quicker. The Shinkansen used to travel at speeds of 350 kmph and now with the help of Maglev trains you can reach speeds of up to 900Kmph.<\/p>

When we use solar power for cooking, heating and every possible energy generation, it is only obvious that we use solar energy for travel too. The idea isn\u2019t a new one though and we would see this happen in less than two years. A flight from New York to Paris that is powered by just solar energy; surely an idea for the future.<\/p>\n

Cars that drive themselves<\/strong><\/p>\n

We all hate traffic, but we just have to live with it. Or do we? If Google has its way with technology, we could have self-driving cars that would be able to drive us through tough roads in the near future. So the next time you are stuck in traffic \u2013 pray that this comes out soon.<\/p>\n

You can boast about visiting space in the next few decades. Japanese technology firm \u2018Obayashi\u2019 are planning to develop an elevator that would send a 36,000 km elevator into space and while this might never have been possible a decade ago, it seems very possible now.<\/p>\n

There is a lot of money being invested into drone technology and using it for transportation is very much on the cards too. It would be used for light or single mode transportation and would be a cheap alternative to helicopters today.<\/p>\n

There is no doubting the fact that travel is going to be the industry of the future. We are in a constant process to live more efficiently and lesser travel time is the first step.<\/p>\n
