Coke gets rid of Michelle Kwan as she withdraws from Winter Olympics. Visa though didn’t follow suit and went ahead with the television commercials starring Kwan.
In the 15 second Visa ad the skater is illustrating the theme “life takes poetry.” Coca Cola spokesperson said when Kwan is not competing in the competition it makes no sense to broadcast the ad.
Companies want to show winning stars on the campaign and some believe that she is “not perceived to be victorious” after she withdrew from the Winter Olympics because of the injury. Games…they play
