1. Echinacea
Echinacea is a herb that has immune boosting capabilities and is widely used for treating a medley of infections. Echinacea can be taken as a tincture or tablet form to treat chlamydia. When the immune system becomes strong, the parasitic action will be naturally inhibited, leading to a definite cure. The tincture can be taken thrice a day. If the infection is particularly severe, tablets of 200-500 mg can be taken four times a day for about 10 days. Leave a gap of 20 days and continue the 10 day course again. This will do away with the infection.
2. Astragulus
Astragulus is known to have many medicinal properties and is used for treating several illnesses of the body. A tea can be made using the leaves of this plant to treat chlamydia. Astragulus boosts the immunity of the person and fights the infection naturally within a month. Astragulus can be used as a vegetable or a drink as well to prevent further occurrences of chlamydia and other infections.
3. Garlic
Garlic is a natural anti-microbial agent which can be used for treating chlamydia. Taking 6-7 cloves of garlic a day will help in fighting the infection caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. For external relief, take a clove of garlic and crush it lightly in between your fingers. Tie it in a gauze and insert it into the vagina. Leave it for eight hours and insert a fresh clove. Continue treatment for 3-4 weeks until the parasite recedes completely.
4. Usnea
This bitter herb is also known as Old Man’s Herb due to its appearance. Usnea has many antibiotic properties which help in naturally treating chlamydia infection. Usnea tablets or tincture can be used for treatment. The tincture can also be used for external application. Dosage can be discussed with the herbalist after assessing the severity of your condition. Relief normally follows within weeks of treatment with usnea.
5. Goldenseal
Goldenseal is again an immune strengthening herb and contains a substance known as berberine which helps in fighting chlamydia infection. Goldenseal, too, being bitter in nature, a capsule, tincture, or tablet is normally preferred than using an infusion. Goldenseal tincture can be diluted with water and used on any sores that are externally visible as well for faster relief. Treatment for about 3-4 weeks is required for the infection to start subsiding.
6. Saw palmetto
Chlamydia infection can cause urinary tract infections in men, and saw palmetto is the best remedy that can be used for treating chlamydia in men. A decoction can be prepared with saw palmetto berries and half a cup of this can be diluted with a glass of water and taken three times a day. If a tincture of saw palmetto is preferred, take 15 drops of this tincture thrice a day. Saw palmetto treatment require at least 4-5 weeks for the patient to get relief.
7. Anthocleista
This native African tree has roots that have anti-pathogenic properties. Anthocleista is known to work in almost the same manner as Doxycycline. For treating chlamydia, take about fifty grams of Anthocleista root and boil in a bowl of water for about half an hour. Strain the infusion and drink this two times a day. Wait for 5-6 weeks to attain complete relief from chlamydia infection. Anthocleista has many anti inflammatory properties and is used for treating many other sexually transmitted diseases as well.
